  • Details
Handmade sterling silver (925) Icelandic wolf’s cross pendant.

You can choose plain smooth finish or hammered finish.

This piece was inspired by an intriguing accidental archaeological find in Iceland in 1910. The story goes that a farmer found it lodged in the hoof of one of his cows. She was limping and when he investigated the cause, he found this ancient pendant.

It is referred to by various names: FENRIR,
Wolf Cross, Viking Hammer, Thor’s Hammer Cross, among others. Its true meaning is a bit of an enigma but most theories suggest it is a blending of Christian and Pagan symbols. (The cross and the wolf’s head). On exhibition in the national museum in Reykjavik, this artifact is dated to be from around the 11th century.

Many of our pieces are unique and while they can be remade, because of stone, stamping, casting, and engraving variations, some can not be 100% duplicated. This means that many of the creations will be one of a kind.

When making jewelry by hand, small flaws and variations may appear in the final product. This adds character to the unique pieces that we make.
